If your computer remains charging but received this message it is trickle charging. This may mean it is providing enough power to diminish the speed at which the battery is used, or it is charging at a slower rate than normal. 

The display arrangement can be adjusted in your operating system’s Display Settings.  

Windows will preset identifiers to the attached displays. If they match the physical orientation this identifier does not interfere with the arrangement.

One or two systems can connect to the KVM docking station. When successfully connected extended displays will populate and show in your Display settings. Pressing the mode button on the front of the KVM docking station will change the display assignment. There are four different modes. (1/1/1, 1/1/2, 2/2/2, 2/2/1)

In your Display Settings, does it show that monitors are recognized in the arrangement? If recognized but not displaying, ensure the correct input source is selected on your external displays. If the displays do not show in display settings, be sure that the dock is connected to your system properly and the DisplayLink software has been installed on your system. Additionally, confirm that the connections between dock and display are secure.

Yes! As long as both OS’s can have DisplayLink driver and the included software installed this will function just fine.

The attached systems require a USB-C port that supports DP Alt Mode to achieve all 3 displays. If your system does not support DP Alt Mode then only x2 displays will be functional.

The VT4950 KVM docking station utilizes two different chipsets to operate. The two DisplayPort outputs will utilize DisplayLink drivers and can operate on any version of USB-C. However, the HDMI port will require a USB-C port featuring DP Alt Mode or MST support.
