VisionTek’s new VT7400 triple 4K docking station connects to any host PC or Laptop with a USB-C port and extends the host machine’s inherent feature set with a collection of classic and useful ports, providing a docking solution that helps with immediate connectivity while remaining future-proof. With this dock you can connect up to three additional monitors as well as 4 USB Type-A and 2 USB Type-C accessories, all through a single USB-C cable.

The VT7400 is a plug-and-play dock that offers up to 100W power delivery (with an included power supply) and 10Gbps speeds from its USB-A and USB-C ports. Compatible with both Windows and Mac host machines, and offering 4K display resolutions at 60Hz, this docking station is a perfect addition to any office environment.

VisionTek’s latest addition to the docking station collection is an amplification of a powerful dock in its own right: the VT7000. While both offer 100W power delivery and display extension, the VT7400 also provides BC 1.2 charging ports, triple 4k displays, and 10Gbps transfer speeds. 

Device Charging -- What is BC 1.2?

The VT7400 USB ports carry the USB BC 1.2 specification (USB Battery Charging Revision 1.2), which was integrated as an update to USB charging ensuring the appropriate amount of current is drawn from a USB port allowing for effective and safe mobile device charging. More specifically, BC 1.2 is an extension of USB 3.0 to make it capable to charge devices with more than the standard 0.9A, meaning your devices are charged more quickly while still allowing data transfer to take place in line with USB 3.0. 

Ideal for charging devices such as mobile phones and tablets, the front USB-C ports on the VT7400 have the BC 1.2 specification with support for 15W (5V/3A) charging. Meanwhile, the dock’s USB-A ports also provide BC 1.2 at 7.5W (5V/1.5A).
